Publication history The 6-issue limited series which ran from March 2014 to October 2014. Premise Forty years ago, Duke McQueen was the space hero who saved the universe. But then he came back home, got married, had kids, and grew old. Now his children have left and his wife has died, leaving him alone with nothing except his memories...until a call comes from a distant world asking him back for his final and greatest adventure. Image Comics
Image Comics is an American comic book publisher and is the third largest comic book and graphic novel publisher in the industry in both unit and market share. It was founded in 1992 by several high-profile illustrators as a venue for creator-owned properties, in which comics creators could publish material of their own creation without giving up the copyrights to those properties. Normally this isn't the case in the work for hire-dominated American comics industry, where the legal author is a publisher, such as Marvel Comics or DC Comics, and the creator is an employee of that publisher. Mark Millar
Mark Millar (; born 24 December 1969) is a Scottish comic book writer and television producer who first came to prominence with a run on the superhero series '' The Authority'', published by DC Comics' Wildstorm imprint. Millar has written extensively for Marvel Comics, including runs on ''The Ultimates'', which has been called "the comic book of the decade" by ''Time'' magazine and described as a major inspiration for the 2012 film '' The Avengers'' by its screenwriter Zak Penn, ''X-Men'', '' Fantastic Four'' and ''Avengers'' for Marvel's Ultimate imprint, as well as ''Marvel Knights Spider-Man'' and ''Wolverine''. Goran Parlov
Goran Parlov (born March 14, 1967) is a Croatian comic book artist. Early life Goran Parlov graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1991 and soon moved to Italy. Career Parlov began drawing comics professionally in the early 90s, after moving to Italy. His first published work was in the '' Ken Parker Magazine'', where he drew an episode of the regular series and a short story, written by Giancarlo Berardi. In 1993 Parlov joined Bonelli, where he started out illustrating the '' Nick Raider'' series, and later moved on to the ''Magico Vento''. In the early 2000s he began working for the American market, first at Vertigo, where he finished Jamie Delano's '' Outlaw Nation'' series for Goran Sudžuka. He subsequently did a fill-in arc at '' Y: The Last Man'', and later did work for Marvel. Personal life After living and working in Milan for almost a decade, Parlov moved back to Zagreb. Limited Series (comics)
In the field of comic books, a limited series is a comics series with a predetermined number of issues. A limited series differs from an ongoing series in that the number of issues is finite and determined before production, and it differs from a One-shot (comics), one shot in that it is composed of multiple issues. The term is often used interchangeably with miniseries (mini-series) and maxiseries (maxi-series), usually depending on the length and number of issues. In Dark Horse Comics' definition of a limited series, "this term primarily applies to a connected series of individual comic books. A limited series refers to a comic book series with a clear beginning, middle and end". Dark Horse Comics and DC Comics refer to limited series of two to eleven issues as miniseries and series of twelve issues or more as maxiseries, but other publishers alternate terms. Gary Leslie Whitta (born 21 July 1972) is an English screenwriter, author, game designer, and video game journalist. He was editor-in-chief of both the UK and US editions of ''PC Gamer'' magazine and contributor to gaming magazine ''ACE''. Whitta was the screenwriter of ''The Book of Eli'' (2010), co-wrote ''After Earth'' (2013) with M. Night Shyamalan, and co-developed the story for ''Rogue One'' (2016). Joseph Murray Cornish (born 20 December 1968) is an English comedian and filmmaker. With his long-time comedy partner, Adam Buxton, he forms the comedy duo Adam and Joe.
