Stark County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 374,853. Its county seat is Canton. The county was created in 1808 and organized the next year. It is named for John Stark, an officer in the American Revolutionary War. Stark County is included in the Canton-Massillon, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Combined Statistical Area. Stark is a city in Neosho County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 69. History The first post office at Stark was established in January 1886. Stark was laid out and platted in 1888. It was named after Stark County, Illinois. The Kansas City Pacific Railroad built through Stark and maintained passenger and freight depots in the town. The rail line soon became the Kansas City Division of the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad and is still active today as part of the Union Pacific Railroad. Stark is a town in Co̦s County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 478 at the 2020 census, down from 556 at the 2010 census. It has a famous covered bridge. The town includes the villages of Percy and Crystal as well as the village of Stark, located on the Upper Ammonoosuc River. Gregory Douglass (born December 19, 1980) is an American singer-songwriter. Douglass plays lead guitar and piano. Background Douglass was born and raised in rural Vermont, performing in musical theater and winning local talent shows in his early teens. He taught himself to play the piano and guitar by age 14, and began writing his own original songs throughout junior high. While attending Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, Douglass composed and recorded the material for his first two albums. Starke is a city in and the county seat of Bradford County, Florida, United States. The population was 5,796 at the 2020 census. The origin of the city's name is disputed. Starke may have been named in honor of local landowner George W. Cole's fiancée's family or in honor of Madison Starke Perry, fourth governor of Florida. History Founding and 19th century Prior to 1857, the area that is today Starke was sparsely settled. The announcement of the Fernandina to Cedar Key railroad, which would connect the Atlantic Ocean with the Gulf of Mexico, brought the first known settlement to the community.
