Stardeath And White Dwarfs
Stardeath and White Dwarfs is an experimental rock band from Norman, Oklahoma, Norman, Oklahoma, formed in late 2004. The band has released two albums, one single ("Toast & Marmalade For Tea" on Half Machine Records) and an EP, as well as contributing to The Flaming Lips' 2009 The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon, remake of ''The Dark Side of the Moon'' by Pink Floyd. The band consists of Dennis Coyne, Casey Joseph, Matt Duckworth and Ford Chastain. Lead singer Coyne is the nephew of Flaming Lips lead singer Wayne Coyne. They released the "That's Cool" Extended play, EP in 2005. Band of Horses is an American rock band formed in 2004 in Seattle, Washington. The album is a complete track-for-track reimagining of Pink Floyd's seminal 1973 album ''The Dark Side of the Moon''. The album was released through the iTunes Store on December 22, 2009, and was released on other digital music retailers a week later. On April 17, 2010, Warner Bros. released 5,000 copies of ''The Flaming Lips and Stardeath and White Dwarfs with Henry Rollins and Peaches Doing The Dark Side of the Moon'' on 12" seafoam green vinyl as part of Record Store Day. Spaceface is a psychedelic rock band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 2011. Members include Jake Ingalls (formerly of The Flaming Lips), Matthew Strong (also a guitar tech for The Flaming Lips), Eric Martin, and "Big Red" Daniel Quinlan. 2008 Wakarusa Music And Camping Festival
Wakarusa Music and Camping Festival was a four-day music festival held annually in early June from 2004 to 2015 at Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas. Named for the Wakarusa River, the festival was first held at Clinton State Park immediately outside of Lawrence, Kansas. It moved to its new location, just outside Fort Smith and Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2009. The festival is known for an eclectic mix of music and has featured artists like Grammy award winners the Black Keys, The Flaming Lips, Wilco, and Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.
