''Star Wars'' is a ''Star Wars'' comic book series published by Dark Horse Comics between 2013 and 2014. The series was written by Brian Wood, and follows the main characters of the original ''Star Wars'' trilogy soon after the events of the original film. It ended after a 20-issue run, largely due to the ''Star Wars'' comics license being transferred to Marvel as part of Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm. Overview Writer Brian Wood stated on his approach to the series that "My plan is to pretend that nothing else exists other than 'A New Hope.' At least in the minds of the characters." Rebel Alliance
The Alliance to Restore the Republic (colloquial: Rebel Alliance; the Rebellion; the Alliance; or the Rebels) is a fictional stateless interstellar coalition of republican dissidents, imperial defectors, revolutionary factions and anti-imperialist clandestine cell systems in a resistance movement against the imperialist Galactic Empire. The Alliance's goal is to restore the liberal governance of the previous Galactic Republic, which had been dissolved after its leader Palpatine seized absolute power and declared himself emperor. It is the main protagonist faction of the original Star Wars trilogy, parallel to the mostly fallen Jedi Order survived by Obi-Wan Kenobi, Yoda, and later Luke Skywalker. Rogue Squadron
Rogue Squadron is a fictional starfighter squadron in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. Many surviving members of Red Squadron, the Rebel attack force that Luke Skywalker joins during the Battle of Yavin in ''Star Wars'' (1977). The squadron appears in ''The Empire Strikes Back'' (1980) as Rogue Group. Rogue Squadron is prominently featured in the comic book series '' Star Wars: X-wing Rogue Squadron as well as'' the ten-volume novel series '' Star Wars: X-wing'', and the ''Rogue Squadron'' video game series. Wedge Antilles
Wedge Antilles is a fictional character in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. He is a supporting character portrayed by Denis Lawson in the original ''Star Wars'' trilogy. He is also featured in the ''Star Wars'' expanded universe, most notably as the lead character in most of the ''X-Wing'' novels. Jabba Desilijic Tiure, more commonly known as Jabba the Hutt, is a Character (arts), fictional character and minor antagonist in the ''Star Wars'' franchise.
