Star Speedway
Star Speedway is a short-track oval race track located in Epping, New Hampshire. It hosts a tour-type modified stock car racing division under the management of the Webber family. History Star Speedway opened in 1966, having been primarily built by Charlie Elliot, a contractor, restaurant owner, and car enthusiast from nearby Dover, New Hampshire. The prior year, Elliot had gone into business with Kendall C. Smith and local journalist Russ Conway to build a race track on what had formerly been Star Brick Yard in Epping, New Hampshire. Elliot, Smith, and Conway sold their interests in the track by late 1983, when they purchased Lee Raceway (later known as Lee USA Speedway) in nearby Lee, New Hampshire. NASCAR Busch North Series
The ARCA Menards Series East (formerly Busch East Series, Busch North Series, Camping World East Series, and NASCAR K&N Pro Series East) is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). Races are held at oval tracks ranging from in length and on two road courses, in length. Supermodified Racing
Supermodifieds are a class of Open wheel car, open wheel race car that compete on paved Short track motor racing, short tracks throughout the United States of America and Canada. The class was founded in the 1950s and is especially popular in the Western states, the Northeastern United States, Northeast and Great Lakes region (North America), Great Lakes regions. Design Supermodifieds are generally constructed from aircraft-quality .095 thick chromium-molybdenum ("chromoly") frame tubing with steel and aluminum components. The bodies are fabricated from fiberglass and aluminum. The cars are powered by American fuel-injected V8 engines that run on methanol fuel and can produce in excess of 800 horsepower. New England Dragway is a mile NHRA dragway in Epping, New Hampshire, Rockingham County, United States. The track hosts the New England Nationals event as part of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series. The track also hosts a regional event as part of the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series. The International Supermodified Association (ISMA) is a sanctioning body of Short track motor racing, short track auto racing in the United States and is the largest sanctioning body of Supermodified racing, supermodified type Open-wheel car, open wheel racing. History Founded in 1974 by multi-time Oswego Speedway champions Jim Shampine and Nolan Swift to ensure the future of supermodified racing.
