Star Search 2003
Star Search 2003 is the 8th installment of Star Search. From March 2003, auditions started in three countries, Singapore, Malaysia and China to search for Chinese language-speaking acting talent. Selected contestants are provided training for a final selection in each country. Each of the 3 countries selects 4 Star Search contestants (2 male, 2 female) to compete at the Grand Finals on June 29 in Singapore. Contestants information Format During the 3-hour power-packed competition, the 12 finalists competed in the areas of star appeal, acting, singing and dancing, and hosting. But what’s different this year is that viewers will have a hand in deciding the winner too. They can vote for the best contestant via SMS, contributing the remaining 10% of the total score. Felicia Chin
Felicia Chin Foong Ling (; born 24 October 1984), who was also once known by her Chinese stage name Chen Jing Xuan () from 2008 to 2013 is a Singaporean actress was named as one of the Seven Princesses of Mediacorp in 2006. In 2013, she decided to use her given Chinese name instead for her acting career. Career In 2003, Chin participated in MediaCorp Channel 8's ''Star Search Singapore'' television programme and emerged as overall female champion of the contest. Mark Lee Kok Huang (; born 16 October 1968) is a Singaporean comedian, actor, television host and film director. Early life Lee's father was a barber, and his mother was a food and beverage stall assistant. Aileen Tan
Aileen Tan (born 18 October 1966) is a Singaporean actress. Life and career She was educated at the now defunct Willow Secondary School. Huang Biren
Huang Biren (born 7 March 1969) is a Singaporean actress best known for appearing in numerous MediaCorp Channel 8 television dramas. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 1988 to 2008, but continues to film on an ad-hoc basis. Huang left Mediacorp on 30 June 2008, due to the new contract terms offered to her and she also wanted to spend more time with her family, especially her 5-month-old infant girl. Jonathan Lee Nam Heng (born 7 November 1964), better known as Li Nanxing (), is a Singaporean actor and was named as 'Ah-Ge' (大哥, "big brother") of Caldecott Hill. Fiona Xie (谢婉谕, Xie Wanyu; born 24 January 1982) is a Singaporean actress, variety show host, and was named as one of the Seven Princesses of Mediacorp in 2006. She was prominently a full-time Mediacorp artiste from 2001 to 2009. He is one of the first batch of actors to receive the All-Time Favourite Artiste award with Zoe Tay & Li Nanxing.
