Star City High School is a comprehensive public high school for students in grades 9 through 12 located in Star City, Arkansas, United States. Star City High School is the only public high school in Lincoln County and the only high school of the Star City School District. The Arkansas Activities Association (AAA) is the primary sanctioning body for high school sports in state of Arkansas. AAA is a member association of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFSHSA). Every public secondary school in Arkansas is a de jure member of the AAA, and most private schools, save for a few schools in the delta that belong to the Mississippi Private Schools Association and 22 Christian schools who belong to the Heartland Christian Athletic Association , are included in membership. Cedric Thornton (born June 21, 1988) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Southern Arkansas University. Early life Thornton attended Star City High School, where he practiced football, baseball and basketball. Fastpitch softball, also known as fastpitch or fastball, is a form of softball played by both women and men. While the teams are most often segregated by sex, coed fast-pitch leagues also exist. Fast pitch is considered the most competitive form of softball. It is the format played at the Olympic Games.
