Star Awards 2015 (also SA2015, Chinese: 红星大奖2015) is a double television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by Mediacorp for free-to-air channel Mediacorp Channel 8. SA2015 is broadcast live on Channel 8, on 19 April 2015 and 26 April 2015. The ceremony saw ''The Joy Truck II'' and '' The Journey: Tumultuous Times'', became the biggest winning variety and drama series respectively. is a major Japanese snack food maker. It was founded on 30 April 1949, and its headquarters are located in the Marunouchi Trust Tower Main in Marunouchi, Chiyoda, Tokyo. Star Awards 2016 (also SA2016, Chinese: 红星大奖2016) is a double television award ceremony which is held in Singapore. It is part of the annual Star Awards organised by Mediacorp for free-to-air channels Channels 8 and U. This was the first ''Star Awards'' ceremony to be held on the new campus at Stars Avenue after its relocation happened in December 2015; for the first time since 2009, the technical awards were not broadcast on television. The nominations were announced were announced on 1 February 2016 and the Most Favorite Artistes on 3 March 2016 at Mandarin Orchard Singapore, with the results announced during the ceremonies on 17 and 24 April 2016; for the first time in the ceremony's history, both shows placed emphasis for variety and drama programs, and the Top 10 Most Favorite Artists were separately awarded, respectively. Project SuperStar (season 3)
The third season of the Singaporean reality talent show '' Project SuperStar'' began on 18 August 2014. It was broadcast on MediaCorp Channel U and simulcast on Toggle Live. The show was hosted by Dasmond Koh, with Jeremy Chan and Shane Pow acting as managers for the contestants. Roy Li and Dawn Yip returned as judges for their third season, and they were joined by Eric Ng who appeared as a judge for the first time. Taiwanese singer Tiger Huang and former judge Lee Wei Song served as the guest judges at the grand final. On 26 October 2014, Alfred Sim the male category winner who was mentored by Dawn Yip, was declared the overall winner of the season; with female category winner Abigail Yeo, also mentored by Dawn Yip named as the overall runner-up. Power Station (Taiwanese Band)
Power Station () is a Taiwanese rock duo, composed of Yu Chiu-hsin (尤秋興) and Yen Chih-lin (顏志琳), both of the Paiwan people, Paiwan tribe of Taiwan's Pingtung County. Their music is characterized by their energetic rock ballads, as well as their electrifying rock anthems. Their looks and long hair stand out from the mainstream Taiwan pop scene because of their resemblance to western heavy metal musicians. Joi Chua
Joi Chua (, born 3 August 1978) is a Singaporean female pop singer. Her most famous songs are "Waiting for a Sunny Day" (《等一个晴天》), "Watching the Sunrise With Me" (《陪我看日出》), the Chinese version of " Nada Soso" and "Wind Chimes" (《风铃》). She is also well known in Mainland China and Taiwan. Early life Chua was educated at Raffles Girls' Primary School, Clementi Town Secondary School, and Singapore Polytechnic majoring in optometry. Kelvin Tan Wei Lian (陈伟联, born 5 October 1981) is a Singaporean former Mandopop singer who earned a living as a busker before he won the first edition of Project SuperStar in 2005.
