Stanislav Hudec
Stanislav Hudec (born June 3, 1982) is a Slovak professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently a free agent having last played for HSC Csíkszereda of the Erste Liga and the Romanian Hockey League. Hudec played in the Czech Extraliga for HC Vítkovice, HC Plzeň, HC Sparta Praha, Motor České Budějovice, HC Oceláři Třinec and HC Dynamo Pardubice. He also played in the Slovak Extraliga for MHC Martin, HC Slovan Bratislava, HK Nitra Hokejový Klub Nitra is a professional ice hockey club based in Nitra, Slovakia. Defenceman
Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. They are often referred to as defencemen, D, D-men or blueliners (the latter a reference to the blue line in ice hockey which represents the boundary of the offensive zone; defencemen generally position themselves along the line to keep the puck in the zone). They were once called cover-point. In regular play, two defencemen complement three Forward (ice hockey), forwards and a goaltender on the ice. Nitra
Nitra (; also known by other alternative names) is a city in western Slovakia, situated at the foot of Zobor Mountain in the valley of the river Nitra. It is located 95 km east of Bratislava. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). Typically, a player on the team attempting to score shoots the puck with their stick towards the goal net opening, and a player on the opposing team called a goaltender tries to block the shot to prevent a goal from being scored against their team. Slovak Extraliga
The Tipos Extraliga (Slovak Extraliga) is the highest-level ice hockey league in Slovakia. From the 2018–19 season to the 2020–21 season, the league included one or two teams from Hungary. In 2009, it was ranked by the IIHF as the fifth strongest league in Europe and in 2012, it was ranked by ''The Hockey News'' as the sixth-strongest league in the world behind the NHL, KHL, Swedish Hockey League, SM-liiga and Czech Extraliga. Erste Liga (ice Hockey)
The Erste Liga (formerly the MOL Liga) is an international ice hockey league organized for clubs based in Hungary and Romania. It is sponsored by the Erste Bank Hungary. The games played between the Hungarian teams count towards the Hungarian National Championship in the OB I Bajnokság. Hoki Sport Klub Csíkszereda ( ro, Hockey Sport Club Miercurea Ciuc) is a professional ice hockey club based in Miercurea Ciuc, Romania.
