Stanislaus County Cruisers
California Gold was an American soccer team which began playing under the Gold moniker in 2002. The club was founded in 1997 as the Stanislaus County Cruisers. The team was a member of the United Soccer Leagues Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2006, when the team left the league and the franchise was terminated. They team played its games at the stadium on the grounds of Peter Johansen High School in the city of Modesto, California. The team's colors were gold, red and white. Year-by-year Competition History Stanislaus County Cruisers Prior to 2002 the team was known as the Stanislaus United Cruisers, owned by a different management group, and playing in the USL Pro league. Bakersfield Brigade was an American soccer team based in Bakersfield, California, United States. Founded in 2005, the team played in the USL Premier Development League (PDL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, until 2009, after which the franchise folded and the team left the league. The team played its home games in the stadium on the campus of Bakersfield Christian High School. The team's colors were black and white. The team also fielded a team in the USL’s Super-20 League, a league for players 17 to 20 years of age run under the United Soccer Leagues umbrella. Kupono Low (born December 27, 1978) is an American former soccer player. Career College and amateur Low attended Irvington High School in Fremont, California, and played college soccer at California State University, Fresno from 1999–2002, where he was selected for the Pac-10 Men's Soccer All-Conference First Team in 2002. In 2000, also played with the Central Coast Roadrunners in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Low began his professional career with the California Gold in the third division USL Pro Select League in 2003. He moved to the Syracuse Salty Dogs of the USL A-League in 2004, before signing with Irish side Sligo Rovers, whom he helped win promotion to the Premier Division. Jason Alfred Batty (born 23 March 1971) is a New Zealand former professional footballer, who played as a goalkeeper, and is the current New Zealand National Team Assistant/Goalkeeping Coach. Batty frequently represented the New Zealand national team in the 1990s. Batty later became the Assistant coach at Dartmouth College in the U.S. and served as the Director of Goalkeeping for Texas Premier SC. The San Francisco Seals were a soccer team based in San Francisco, California. The team began as the senior team of the San Francisco United Soccer Club founded in 1985, a 501(c)(3) organization.
