''Stand Up and Scream'' is the debut studio album by British rock band Asking Alexandria. It was released on 15 September 2009 through Sumerian Records and was produced by Joey Sturgis. The album has charted at number 170 on the ''Billboard'' 200, number 29 on Top Independent albums, and number 4 on Top Heatseekers. The record managed to remain at the Top Heatseekers chart at position number 36 until the end of July 2010. Background The title of the album is chosen from a lyric in the second track "The Final Episode (Let's Change the Channel)", where the relevant line within the chorus reads "Just stand up and scream, the tainted clock is counting down". Six of the tracks featured on the album have previously been released digitally through the band's MySpace and PureVolume accounts. Asking Alexandria
Asking Alexandria are a British rock band from York, North Yorkshire, consisting of guitarists Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell, drummer James Cassells, lead vocalist Danny Worsnop, and bassist Sam Bettley. Initially formed in 2006 by Ben Bruce, the band officially established as a six-piece in 2008 with the founding line-up consisting of Bruce, Worsnop, Cassells, Liddell, Joe Lancaster and Ryan Binns. Alesana ( ) is an American post-hardcore band from Raleigh, North Carolina. The group was founded by Shawn Milke, Dennis Lee and Patrick Thompson during the fall of 2004, and is currently signed to Revival Recordings and Artery Recordings. Ashley Greg Avildsen (born November 5, 1981) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and the founder and CEO of Sumerian Records and Sumerian Films. The son of director John G. Avildsen, he wrote and directed the films ''What Now'' (2015) and '' American Satan'' (2017). Ash Avildsen also played a lead role in ''What Now'' and is responsible for numerous nationwide tours such as Summer Slaughter, All Stars Tour, Thrash and Burn, and more.
