Robert "Bob" Tzudiker (born August 28, 1953) is an American writer and actor. Tzudiker is best known for co-creating and writing the screenplay for '' Newsies'' along with his wife Noni White, which was based on the real-life Newsboys' strike of 1899. Newsies began as a "classic underdog story ripped from the history books", with writers White and Tzudiker approaching producer Michael Finnell with an idea for a nonmusical drama; however, Disney studio head Jeffrey Katzenberg redirected the project to become a musical. Luis Contreras (September 18, 1950 – June 20, 2004) was an American character actor. The son of actor Roberto Contreras, his film debut was in ''Close Encounters of the Third Kind''. Contreras often played the parts of bums, gang members, police officers, prison inmates, and criminals. ''Variety Film Reviews'' is the 24-volume hardcover reprint of feature film reviews by the weekly entertainment tabloid-size magazine ''Variety'' from 1907 to 1996.
