Stan Boyd
Stan Boyd (born September 16, 1970) is an American former professional stock car racing driver who competed in both the Busch Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Truck Series Stan Boyd made his NASCAR debut in the 1998 Memphis race driving for EVI Motorsports, starting 35th and finishing 29th after ignition failure late in the race. He ran at Mesa Marin for Steve Coulter later in the year, dropping out after just 2 laps due to engine failure. Boyd then ran four races in 1999 for EVI Motorsports with a best finish of 22nd at Gateway. In 2000 Boyd ran two races for John Conely, finishing a solid 19th at Mesa Marin. He returned to EVI for 3 races later on with less luck. He ran a full season with EVI in 2001, making just 10 of the 25 races, but earning three top 20 finishes including a career-best 13th at California. Kevin Conway (born April 15, 1979) is an American professional stock car racing driver who currently races in the Blancpain Super Trofeo Championship. He is the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year (ROTY), 2014 Super Trofeo World Champion, and two-time North American Super Trofeo Series Champion. MacDonald Motorsports (MMS) was a NASCAR team owned by former NASCAR Sprint Cup series driver Randy MacDonald, his mother, Pat MacDonald and his daughter Jenifer MacDonald. Start and park is a term used in auto racing, particularly in NASCAR-sanctioned races, to describe the practice of racing teams starting races but pulling the car off the track after just a few laps in order to collect prize money while avoiding expenses such as replacement tires, engine wear and tear, and hiring a pit crew. The practice has existed due to the relatively high purse for even a back-of-the-pack finish, as well as the high costs of fielding a car for an entire race. While start-and-park entries occasionally act as "field fillers" (a term typically used outside of NASCAR when a small number of teams show up to a racetrack), the practice is criticized in instances when they take spots away from teams intending to run the full race. In some cases, a team will use a start-and-park car to help fund another competitive car in the same or a different series. Rick Ware Racing (RWR) is an American motorsports team which currently competes in the NASCAR Cup Series, WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the NTT IndyCar Series. Auto Club Speedway, originally opened as California Speedway, is a , low-banked, D-shaped oval superspeedway in unincorporated San Bernardino County, California, near Fontana.
