Stuttering, also known as stammering, is a speech disorder in which the flow of speech is disrupted by involuntary repetitions and prolongations of sounds, syllables, words, or phrases as well as involuntary silent pauses or blocks in which the person who stutters is unable to produce sounds. The term ''stuttering'' is most commonly associated with involuntary sound repetition, but it also encompasses the abnormal hesitation or pausing before speech, referred to by people who stutter as ''blocks'', and the prolongation of certain sounds, usually vowels or semivowels. ''It Doesn't Matter Anymore'' is the debut album by Scottish britpop band The Supernaturals on the Parlophone label. It reached number 9 on the UK Albums Chart in 1997, and spawned four top 40 singles on the UK Singles Chart. Production ''It Doesn't Matter Anymore'' was recorded at several studios: Jacobs, Eden, Trident, Chapel, Chipping Norton, and Riverside. Pete Smith served as produced on every track, except for "Pie in the Sky", which was produced by the band. Kay Stammers
Katherine "Kay" Esther Stammers (3 April 1914 – 23 December 2005) was a female tennis player from the United Kingdom. Career Stammers was born on 3 April 1914 in St Albans, United Kingdom where her parents taught her to play tennis on the grass court at their family home. Left-handed and with a good forehand, Stammers played an attacking style of tennis and was trained by Dan Maskell. Stammers played when Helen Wills Moody, Helen Jacobs, Alice Marble, and Pauline Betz dominated. But Stammers defeated Jacobs in the semifinals of the 1939 Wimbledon Championships and in singles matches at the 1935 and 1936 Wightman Cup. At the 1935 Kent Championships in Beckenham, England, Stammers became the first British player to beat Wills Moody in 11 years. According to A. Stan Stammers
Stan Stammers (born 19 May 1961, England) is an English musician best known as the bass player for the bands Theatre of Hate, Spear of Destiny and Plastic Eaters. Early life Stammers grew up in Saffron Walden, Essex. He got into punk music by going to see live bands at Cambridge Corn Exchange and other nearby venues. Stammers' first band was 'The Jump', based in Newport, a village close to Saffron Walden and from an early age his main influence for playing bass was Slade's bass player Jimmy Lea, who he cites as an influence today, along with Paul Simonon (The Clash), Bruce Foxton (The Jam) and Horace Panter (The Specials). Musical career The first major band that Stammers joined was The Straps in 1979, followed by British post-punk band Theatre of Hate in 1980, formed by both Kirk Brandon and Stammers, and managed by Terry Razor.
