Endurance
Endurance (also related to sufferance, resilience, constitution, fortitude, and hardiness) is the ability of an organism to exert itself and remain active for a long period of time, as well as its ability to resist, withstand, recover from and have immunity to trauma, wounds or fatigue. It is usually used in aerobic or anaerobic exercise. The definition of 'long' varies according to the type of exertion – minutes for high intensity anaerobic exercise, hours or days for low intensity aerobic exercise. Training for endurance can reduce the ability to exert endurance strength unless an individual also undertakes resistance training to counteract this effect. When a person is able to accomplish or withstand a higher amount of effort than their original capabilities their endurance is increasing which to many personnel indicates progress. Stamen
The stamen (plural ''stamina'' or ''stamens'') is the pollen-producing reproductive organ of a flower. Collectively the stamens form the androecium., p. 10 Morphology and terminology A stamen typically consists of a stalk called the filament and an anther which contains ''sporangium, microsporangia''. Most commonly anthers are two-lobed and are attached to the filament either at the base or in the middle area of the anther. The sterile tissue between the lobes is called the connective, an extension of the filament containing conducting strands. It can be seen as an extension on the dorsal side of the anther. Stamina Therapy
Stamina therapy (also known as ''Stamina method'' or simply ''Stamina'') was a controversial and unproven treatment marketed in Italy by convicted Quackery, quack Davide Vannoni during 2007–2014. Mainly aimed at Neurodegeneration, neurodegenerative diseases, the method relied on the conversion of mesenchymal stem cells into neurons. Its details were kept secret by its promoters and Vannoni has never published any details in a scientific journal. In the absence of scientific validation, claims of its therapeutic effectiveness are unproven. Faced with pro-Stamina street demonstrations and intense pressure from the media, the Italy, Italian government decided in May 2013 to allow the Stamina therapy to be provided in public hospitals despite the protests of the Italian and international scientific community. Stamina (horse)
Stamina (1905–1930) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse that was the historical top 2-year-old and 3-year-old filly in the United States in 1907 and 1908, respectively. Through the 1907 racing season, she was trained by future Hall of Fame inductee, John W. Rogers. On the death of Rogers in early 1908, another future Hall of Fame inductee, Jack Joyner, took over. Pedigree Stamina was foaled in 1905 and was sired by the 1901 champion 2-year-old colt, Nasturtium, out of the 1901 co-champion 2-year-old mare, Endurance by Right. Nasturtium was sired by Watercress out of the mare Margerique. Margerique was sired by the imported British stallion Order out of the Algerine-bred mare Margerine. Endurance by Right was sired by the 1886 Belmont and Travers Stakes winner Inspector B. out of the mare Early Morn.
