Carl Stalling
Carl William Stalling (November 10, 1891 – November 29, 1972) was an American composer, voice actor and arranger for music in animated films. He is most closely associated with the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' shorts produced by Warner Bros., where he averaged one complete score each week, for 22 years. Biography Stalling was born to Ernest and Sophia C. Stalling. His parents were from Germany; his father arrived in the United States in 1883. The family settled in Lexington, Missouri where his father was a carpenter. He started playing piano at six. By the age of 12, he was the principal piano accompanist in his hometown's silent movie house. For a short period, he was also the theatre organist at the St. Louis Theatre, which eventually became Powell Symphony Hall. By his early 20s, he was conducting his own orchestra and improvising on the organ at the Isis Movie Theatre in Kansas City. His actual job at the time was to play "organ accompaniment" for silent films ...

Jonathan Stalling
Jonathan Stalling (; born June 24, 1975) is an American poet, scholar, editor, translator, professor, and inventor who works at the intersection of English and Chinese. He is the Harold J & Ruth Newman Chair for US-China Issues and co-director of the Institute for US-China Issues, and is Professor of International and Area Studies at the University of Oklahoma. He is also the affiliate English professor at the University of Oklahoma where he serves as the founding curator of the Chinese Literature Translation Archive (CLTA), and as a founding editor of ''Chinese Literature Today'' (CLT) journal and as the editor of the ''CLT (now CLT2) and CLT book series'' published by the University of Oklahoma Press. Max Stalling is a Texas country music singer-songwriter. Early life Stalling is from Crystal City. He attended kindergarten through high school in Carrizo Springs. He studied at Texas A&M University, where he earned an undergraduate and a master's degree in Food Science. It was in graduate school that Stalling first picked up the guitar and began dabbling with songwriting. After college, Stalling moved to Dallas, where he entered the corporate world.
