Stahlhammer Albums
Stahlhammer (German for "Steel Hammer") is a Neue Deutsche Härte band from Austria that formed in 1992. They incorporate elements from hardcore, groove metal, industrial metal and symphonic metal into their songs. The band has to this date released six albums, where the majority of songs are in German. Their latest album is ''Opera Noir'', which was released in March 2006. History Stahlhammer is one of the most popular bands to ever come out of Austria. The band name was originally going to be "Eisenherz", but copyright laws for the German "Prince Valiant" stories prohibited this, though this later became the name of their fourth album. Their first album ''Killer Instinkt'', released in 1995, became widely known throughout Austria and Germany due to the success of their video for the Pink Floyd cover " Another Brick in the Wall". Neue Deutsche Härte
Neue Deutsche Härte (; "new German hardness"), sometimes abbreviated as NDH, is a subgenre of rock music that developed in Germany and Austria during the early-to-mid 1990s and during the early 2000s. Alluding to the style of Neue Deutsche Welle, the term was coined by the music press after the 1995 release of the German rock and metal band Rammstein's first studio album ''Herzeleid''. Characteristics Neue Deutsche Härte describes a crossover style that is influenced by Neue Deutsche Welle, alternative metal and groove metal combining it with elements from electro-industrial and techno. The lyrics are generally in German. NDH uses the basic setup of instruments for metal: electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals, along with keyboard, synthesizers, samples and sometimes additional percussion. The album's text is largely written in a font of Cyrillic , bg, кирилица , mk, кирилица , russian: кириллица , sr, ћирилица, uk, кирилиця , fam1 = Egyptian hieroglyphs , fam2 = Proto-Sinaitic , fam3 = Phoenician , fam4 = G ... letters, though the words are German. The limited edition was limited to only 2,000 copies each with a number on the back. The text at the bottom of the album cover reads "Goldenes Zepter nur ein Stock in des Königs Hand. Wer nicht wagt der darf nicht hoffen auf ein schöner Land". Roughly translated, this means "A golden scepter is only a stick in the hand of a king. Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. "Another Brick in the Wall" is a three-part composition on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera ''The Wall,'' written by bassist Roger Waters. "Part 2", a protest song against corporal punishment, and rigid and abusive schooling, features a children's choir. At the suggestion of producer Bob Ezrin, Pink Floyd added elements of disco. "Part 2" was released as a single, Pink Floyd's first in the UK since " Point Me at the Sky" (1968).
