Stafford Repp
Stafford Alois Repp (April 26, 1918November 5, 1974) was an American actor best known for his role as Police Chief Miles Clancy O'Hara on ABC's ''Batman'' television series. Career Soon after the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, he served a stint in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He was active in performing in and producing shows while he was in the Army Air Corps. After his military service, he began his acting career. Repp acted in stage productions on the West Coast before World War II. At the beginning of his film career, Repp appeared in numerous film and TV productions including the films ''I Want to Live!'' (1958) with Susan Hayward, and ''The Brothers Karamazov,'' both made in 1958. ''Batman'' is an American live action television series, based on the DC Comics character of the same name. It stars Adam West as Bruce Wayne / Batman and Burt Ward as Dick Grayson / Robin – two crime-fighting heroes who defend Gotham City from a variety of archvillains. It is known for its camp style, upbeat theme music, and its intentionally humorous, simplistic morality (aimed at its largely teenage audience).
