Stade du Pré Fleuri is a rugby union stadium in Sermoise-sur-Loire, close to Nevers. The stadium is the home field of USO Nevers . History Closely linked to Nevers' sports history, Stade du Pré Fleuri is entirely dedicated to rugby union since 1982, when the athletics track was removed. Since the 2010s, the increasing of the stadium's capacity of the stadium, due to the club's promotion to Fédérale 1, leading to the expansion of the sports complex and a brand new management. The site extends itself on 560 m2 of zones covered to host the partners, the players, the club members and the great public. USO Nevers
Union Sportive Olympique Nivernaise is a French rugby union club from Nevers, currently playing in the second level of the country's National Rugby League (France), professional rugby system, Rugby Pro D2, Pro D2. History The team origins dates back to 1 August 1903, when Gustave Bossut created the PAG (Peloton d’avant-garde). This quickly became USN (Union sportive nivernaise) and then USON (Union sportive olympique nivernaise) in 1956. Le championnat de France de première division fédérale, a.k.a. Fédérale 1, is a French rugby union club competition, the fifth highest level of amateur rugby. The competition has been organised by the Fédération Française de Rugby since 2000, when it replaced the B2 Group. Rugby Pro D2
Rugby Pro D2, also known as Pro D2 is the second tier of rugby union club competition division in France. It is operated by Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR) which also runs the division directly above, the first division Top 14. Rugby Pro D2 was introduced in 2000. It is the world's best supported second tier rugby union league. Season structure There is relegation and promotion between both the Top 14 and Fédérale 1, the third-level competition. The top club at the end of the season is automatically promoted to the Top 14; through the 2016–17 season, the 2nd through 5th place teams play each other for the second promotion place.
