Stade Niçois is a French amateur rugby club based in Nice, founded in 2012. It currently operates in Nationale, one division below the French professional Top14 and Pro D2 leagues. History The club was previously known as Rugby Nice Côte d'Azur Université-Racing. However this club was liquated in 2012. The new club Stade Niçois was formed for the season 2012–13. They play under new colours: red, white and black. The club won promotion from Fédérale 2 at the end of season 2017-18 and will play in Fédérale 1 for season 2018–19. Scotland National Rugby Union Team
The Scotland national rugby union team represents Scotland in men's international rugby union and is administered by the Scottish Rugby Union. The team takes part in the annual Six Nations Championship and participates in the Rugby World Cup, which takes place every four years. As of 4 December 2022, Scotland are 7th in the World Rugby Rankings. The history of the team extends back to 1871 when the Scottish rugby team played their first official test match, winning 1–0 against England at Raeburn Place. Luciano Orquera
Luciano Orquera (born 12 October 1981 in Córdoba) is an Argentine-Italian rugby union player. He plays as a fly-half for Zebre, an Italian club in the Pro14. Rugby Union career Amateur career Born in Argentina of Italian descent, he first played at Club Palermo Bajo, in Córdoba. He moved to Mirano Rugby 1957 in 2002–03. He was assigned to Petrarca Padova Rugby in 2003–04, where he would stay the next two seasons. In 2016 he signed for the French amateur club Stade Niçois who play in Fédérale 2. David Cherry (born 3 January 1991) is a Scotland international rugby union player who plays for Edinburgh Rugby in the United Rugby Championship. Rugby Union career Amateur career Cherry played for Currie until 2014. On leaving London Scottish he then played for French Federale 2 side Stade Niçois. Professional career Cherry signed his first professional contract with London Scottish in 2014. He was with the Exiles till 2017 when he joined Stade Niçois. Bruce Flockhart (born 23 August 1997) is a Scottish former professional rugby union player who played for Glasgow Warriors. His usual position is at the Number Eight position. He has previously been loaned out from Glasgow Warriors and the Scottish Rugby Academy to the French side Stade Niçois for the 2017-18 season. The Scottish Rugby Academy, for sponsorship reasons the Fosroc Scottish Rugby Academy, is a national academy structure designed to give Scotland's young rugby stars a pathway into the professional game. The academy structure is based on 4 regional academies geographically based on the traditional districts of Glasgow District. Edinburgh District, North and Midlands and South. Glasgow Warriors are a professional rugby union side from Scotland. The team plays in the United Rugby Championship league and in the European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. Tyrone Holmes
Tyrone Holmes (born 15 April 1986) is a South African-born Scottish professional rugby union footballer. Rugby Union career Professional career As part of his South African academy development with the RPC Rugby Performance Centre, Holmes trained with Toulon for four months. He then joined Northampton Saints academy for five months but on their relegation most of the academy players were cut and he returned to South Africa. He played for the Stormers in Super Rugby and for Western Province in the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup, as well as the Griquas and Cornish Pirates. Holmes helped Western Province win the Vodacom Cup for the first time in 2012, he made nine appearances and scored two tries. He also played his first Super Rugby game later in the season.
