Stacy X (real name Miranda Leevald) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer by Joe Casey and artist Tom Raney, she first appeared in ''Uncanny X-Men'' #399 (November 2001), when she was known as X-Stacy, and later became known as Ripcord. In American comic books published by Marvel Comics, a mutant is a human being that possesses a genetic trait called the X-gene. It causes the mutant to develop superhuman powers that manifest at puberty. Human mutants are sometimes referred to as a human subspecies ''Homo sapiens superior,'' or simply ''Homo superior.'' Mutants are the evolutionary progeny of ''Homo sapiens'', and are generally assumed to be the next stage in human evolution. The accuracy of this is the subject of much debate in the Marvel Universe. Black Tom Cassidy (Thomas Samuel Eamon Cassidy) is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character is usually depicted as an enemy of the X-Men, and of his cousin, Banshee. In addition to fighting the X-Men, he has clashed with Deadpool a number of times. Black Tom is a mutant who can manipulate, bond with, and project energy through plant life. He is also capable of issuing concussive blasts with a wooden object, usually a shillelagh. The Ultimate Nullifier is a fictional device of immense power appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The device made its first appearance in '' Fantastic Four'' volume 1, issue #50 (May 1966), in which Johnny Storm retrieves it from the home of Galactus (as directed by Uatu the Watcher) for the Fantastic Four to employ against the threat of Galactus himself. Vincent Stewart, codenamed Redneck and later Skybolt is a fictional mutant character in the Marvel Comics Universe. Publication history His first appearance was in ''New X-Men'' #126 by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. Fictional character biography Vincent Stewart, the young mutant called Redneck, was a student of the Xavier Institute. "Decimation" is a storyline published by Marvel Comics in 2005, spinning out of the events of the ''House of M'' limited series. The event started with a one-shot issue and took place in a number of various series all carrying the "Decimation" logo on the cover. The 2005 miniseries '' Generation M'', '' Sentinel Squad O*N*E'', '' X-Men: Deadly Genesis'' and '' X-Men: The 198'' were all launched specifically for the "Decimation" storyline. The various stories were collected in five trade paper backs. The storyline focuses on the ramifications of the Scarlet Witch stripping nearly all of the mutant population of their powers, thereby reducing a society of millions to one of scant hundreds.
