Drogheda ( , ; , meaning "bridge at the ford") is an industrial and port town in County Louth on the east coast of Ireland, north of Dublin. James Lennon (bishop)
James Lennon (b. Armagh 26 September 1923; d. Drogheda 17 October 1989) was an Irish Catholic bishop in the last third of the 20th century. Lenny was educated at St Patrick's Grammar School, Armagh and St Patrick's College, Maynooth. He was ordained priest for Armagh on 20 June 1948. He served curacies at Collon, Saul, Mellifont and Cookstown. He was appointed parish priest of Termonfeckin in 1975 and of Drogheda in 1977. A Vocational Education Committee (VEC) ( ga, Coiste Gairmoideachais) was a statutory local education body in Ireland that administered some secondary education, most adult education and a very small amount of primary education in the state. Before 1992 VECs had authority over the Dublin Institute of Technology and the Regional Technical Colleges. They existed from 1930 to 2013, when they were replaced by Education and Training Boards. Ian Patrick Harte (born 31 August 1977) is an Irish football agent and former professional footballer who played as a left back. He was best known for his ability to score goals from long range, including being a free kick specialist. He began his career at Leeds United making 288 official appearances across nine seasons. Gillian Meagher (née McKeon) was a 29-year-old Irish woman living in Australia who was raped and murdered while walking home from a pub in Brunswick, an inner suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, in the early hours of 22 September 2012. Meagher's case was initially classified as that of a missing person, as she had failed to return home to her husband, Tom Meagher. But it soon became a homicide investigation.
