St. Teresa's Hospital
St. Teresa's Hospital is a largest nonprofit Roman Catholic hospital in Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is located on 327 Prince Edward Road West. History St Paul's Hospital in Causeway Bay had grown out of the caring activities undertaken by the Sisters of the Roman Catholic Christian order St. Paul de Chartres for the poor and underprivileged of the Wan Chai and Happy Valley areas of Hong Kong Island, which commenced in the mid-19th century after the order had first established itself in the then British colony. To provide geographically closer services for the people of Kowloon on the opposite side of the Victoria Harbour, the Pauline Sisters founded St Teresa's Hospital in 1940. Ma Tau Wai
Ma Tau Wai (, originally , historically ) is an area in the Kowloon City District, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It was originally a walled village (Cantonese: ''Wai'') between present-day Argyle Street and Prince Edward Road West, east of present-day St. Teresa's Hospital. The area of Ma Tau Wai is not as well-defined as the original village, as the geographic features have been lost. The public housing estate Ma Tau Wai Estate is named after the area / the original village. Other landmark of the areas Hong Kong's Notre Dame College is in Ma Tau Wai. Kowloon City District
Kowloon City District is one of the 18 districts of Hong Kong. It is located in the city of Kowloon. It had a population of 381,352 in 2001, and increased to 418,732 in 2016. The district has the third most educated residents while its residents enjoy the highest income in Kowloon. It borders all the other districts in Kowloon, with Kwun Tong district to the east, Wong Tai Sin district to its northeast, Sham Shui Po district to its northwest, and Yau Tsim Mong district to its southwest.
