Route 52 is a major north-south arterial route in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. It comprises all of Main Street, Queen Elizabeth Way, and St. Mary's Road. Route description Beginning at the northern city limits, the route runs south as Main Street along the west bank of the Red River. After passing through downtown, it becomes the Queen Elizabeth Way from the Main Street Bridge to the Norwood Bridge, over the Assiniboine and Red Rivers. South of the Norwood Bridge, it continues along the east side of the river as St. Mary's Road to the south Perimeter Highway. At the northern city limits, Route 52 becomes Manitoba Highway 9; at the south Perimeter Highway, it continues as Manitoba Provincial Road 200. Manitoba Provincial Road 200
Provincial Road 200 (PR 200) is a provincial road in Manitoba. It runs from the Perimeter Highway (PTH 100) at Winnipeg to the border town of Emerson, ending at Manitoba Highway (PTH) 75 at Emerson, near the Canada–United States border. Route description PR 200 begins as a continuation of Winnipeg Route 52 (St. Mary's Road) immediately south of the Perimeter Highway in Winnipeg and runs southward parallel to the flood plain of the meandering Red River. It passes through the community of St. Adolphe and passes by Ste. Agathe before leaving the Red River to run directly south through a heavily agricultural area to the community of Dominion City. There it turns east, joining together with Provincial Road 201 for 1.6 kilometres (1 mile), before turning south again, towards Emerson. Manitoba Provincial Road 246
Provincial Road 246 (PR 246) is a provincial road in the Canadian province of Manitoba. It runs from PR 200 near Ste. Agathe to PTH 75 at St. Jean Baptiste. Both PR 246 and PR 200 are often referred to as St. Mary's Road, as the two roads mostly follow the old St. Mary's Road that once connected Winnipeg and Emerson on the east side of the Red River. Today, most of PR 246 is gravel road; only a short section near St. Jean Baptiste is paved. The southern terminus of PR 246 at St. Jean Baptiste has been cut off from the rest of the road since the bridge over the Red River was closed in 2015 and later demolished. A section between PR 205 and Provincial Trunk Highway (PTH) 23 is due to be upgraded and paved by the Manitoba government to serve as a detour for when PTH 75, a major transportation route that runs along the west side of the river, is closed at Morris due to flooding.
