St Mary's Episcopal Church is a medium-sized church of the Scottish Episcopal Church in Dunblane, Scotland. It is situated by the Fourways roundabout. Jasper, Alabama
Jasper is a city in and the county seat of Walker County, Alabama, United States. Its population was 14,352 as of the 2010 census. Named in honor of Sergeant William Jasper, an American Revolutionary War hero, Jasper was settled around 1815 and incorporated on August 18, 1886. The first significant growth of the area was in 1886, when the Kansas City, Memphis and Birmingham Railroad and the Sheffield & Birmingham Railroads were completed through Jasper. The population grew from 200 people in 1886 to more than 3,000 in 1890. In a special edition in 1891, the ''Mountain Eagle'' stated there were six coal mines, two sandstone quarries, 400 coke ovens, one foundry and machine shop, two saw mills, one brick works, four hotels, and two banks. The Scarborough Historic District is a national historic district located in the suburban community of Scarborough-on-Hudson, in Briarcliff Manor, New York. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, and contains seven historically and architecturally significant properties dating from the late 18th century to the early 20th century. Most of the properties are domestic, or used for education or religion. The most common architectural styles within the district are Mid-19th Century Revival and Late Victorian. Profile The district contains 26 contributing buildings, two contributing sites, and one contributing structure. Saint Mary's Episcopal Church And Parish House
St. Mary's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopalian parish in the city of Hillsboro, Ohio, United States. Constructed during the middle of the 19th century, this Gothic Revival church building has been named a historic site. St. Mary's considers its history to have begun in 1851, when occasional Episcopalian services were conducted in the Highland County Courthouse. The first priest, Noah Schenck, came two years later, after Bishop McIlvaine directed him to spend half of his Sundays with St. Mary's and half with a parish in Troy. In 1854, the parish began construction of its church building after hiring Cincinnati architect John R. Hamilton, and the Hillsboro contractors Henning and Shinn completed construction in the following year. St. Mary’s Church, Hamilton Village, is an Episcopal Church located on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It calls itself the Episcopal Church at Penn to emphasize its campus ministry. The parish is part of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. In 2020, it reported 225 members, 51 average attendance, and plate and pledge financial support of $95,097. The church is a remnant of the Hamilton Village neighborhood that existed in West Philadelphia prior to being subsumed by the University. The land was given to the church by the Hamilton family for whom the town was named. Background Founded in the early 19th century to serve as a summer congregation for Philadelphians who were vacationing west of the Schuylkill River, it soon had year-round services.
