Wilmington ( Lenape: ''Paxahakink /'' ''Pakehakink)'' is the largest city in the U.S. state of Delaware. The city was built on the site of Fort Christina, the first Swedish settlement in North America. Miss Delaware USA
Miss Delaware USA is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Delaware in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by its winner. The pageant is directed by V&M Productions. Delaware had not placed in Miss USA until 2015, where Renee Bull placed in the Top 10. This is additionally Delaware's first, most recent, and only placement. The current Miss Delaware USA is Grace Lange of Newark and was crowned on April 3, 2022 at Laird Performing Arts Center of The Tatnall School in Wilmington. Steve Watson (wide Receiver)
Steve Ross Watson (born May 28, 1957) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He later became a wide receivers coach. College career After high school at St. Mark's High School in Wilmington, Delaware, Watson attended Temple University. In four seasons for the Owls, Watson caught 98 passes for 1,629 yards (5th in school history) and 7 touchdowns. He was also a star on the track and field team as a long jumper, winning two conference titles. He was inducted into the school's athletic hall of fame in 1995. Pedro Maurice Swann (born October 27, 1970) is a retired American outfielder who spent parts of three seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Atlanta Braves (2000), Toronto Blue Jays (2002) and Baltimore Orioles (2003). Swann spent 16 seasons in the minor leagues and played 25 games in the majors, making his big league debut at the age of 29. Currently, Swann is the bench coach for the Camden Riversharks team of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Mario G. Pino (born September 8, 1961, in Wilmington, Delaware) is a retired jockey in American Thoroughbred horse racing. Raised on a farm, he began his riding career in 1978 at Delaware Park in Wilmington. Over the years, he has chosen to be based at race tracks close to home and family and has won a number of riding titles at venues in the Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia areas. He rode his first winner aboard Ed's Desire on January 16, 1979, at the now-defunct Bowie Race Track in Bowie, Maryland.
