The Church of St. John is a List of churches in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York#Churches in The Bronx, parish church under the authority of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 3021 Kingsbridge Avenue, Bronx, New York, Bronx, New York City. Property was purchased in 1870 and construction of a wood-framed church was begun, this was the first Catholic church in Kingsbridge, Bronx. The parish has had long ties with the Religious of Jesus and Mary as their main base in New York City. On November 2, 2014, the parish was merged with that of Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Bronx), the Church of Visitation. Kingsbridge is a residential neighborhood in the northwest portion of the Bronx, New York City. Kingsbridge's boundaries are Manhattan College Parkway to the north, the Major Deegan Expressway or Bailey Avenue to the east, West 230th Street to the south, and Irwin Avenue to the west.
