St George College, South Australia
St George College is the first Eastern Orthodox school in Adelaide, South Australia. The co-educational college, established in 1983, operates under the auspices of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and is sponsored by the Orthodox community. The original school, now the junior school, is on the corner of Rose Street and Dew Street in the suburb of Mile End. Saint George's College, founded in 1936 and run by the Congregation of Holy Cross, is a private school in Santiago, Chile. According to Seminarium Head Hunting, one third of the CEOs of the top 200 companies in Chile are graduates of the school. History Three Holy Cross priests arrived in Santiago, Chile, on March 1, 1943, at the invitation of José María Cardinal Caro, Archbishop of Santiago, to administer Saint George's College. Fathers William Havey, Alfred Send, and Joseph Doherty believed they were going to do university work, not knowing that "college" meant a school of first through 12th graders. St. George's College, Mussoorie, is an all-boys boarding and non-boarding school in Mussoorie, in the state of Uttarakhand, India, affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations board. The school, an all-boys residential and non-residential institution, spreading over of land, was founded in 1853 by the Capuchin Fathers and entrusted to the Society of the Brothers of St. Patrick (Ireland) in 1894. St George's Weybridge is an independent mixed Roman Catholic co-educational Josephite day school in Surrey, taking pupils from 3 to 18. St George's Weybridge is made up of St George's Junior School (3–11) and St George's College (11–18). History St George’s Weybridge was founded in 1869 by a Belgium Catholic order of priests called the Josephites, and was originally based in Croydon. Within a few years St George’s had outgrown its Croydon location and in 1884 moved to the grounds of Woburn Park near Weybridge. In the 18th century, Woburn Park became famous as the first ornamental farm developed by its then-owner, Philip Southcote. After his death, the estate had numerous owners including William Petre, who purchased the estate in 1876 and established the first Catholic school on the site before he sold it to the Josephites. College Of Saint George
St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle in England is a castle chapel built in the late-medieval Perpendicular Gothic style. It is both a Royal Peculiar (a church under the direct jurisdiction of the monarch) and the Chapel of the Order of the Garter. St George's Chapel was founded in the 14th century by King Edward III and extensively enlarged in the late 15th century. It is located in the Lower Ward of the castle. The castle has belonged to the monarchy for almost 1,000 years and was a principal residence of Elizabeth II before her death. The chapel has been the scene of many royal services, weddings and burials – in the 19th century, St George's Chapel and the nearby Frogmore Gardens superseded Westminster Abbey as the chosen burial place for the British royal family.
