St. Charles Area Transit
St. Charles Area Transit, branding its service as SCAT, is a public transportation service located in St. Charles County, Missouri. The goal of the service is to provide mass transit access for these St. Louis, Missouri suburbs, which are not part of the city's Bi-State Development Agency transportation system. Four local bus routes are provided, plus one commuter route to St. Louis County, Missouri. New Urbanism is an urban design movement which promotes environmentally friendly habits by creating walkable neighbourhoods containing a wide range of housing and job types. It arose in the United States in the early 1980s, and has gradually influenced many aspects of real estate development, urban planning, and municipal land-use strategies. Dardenne Prairie is a city in St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. The population was 11,494 at the 2010 census. Geography Dardenne Prairie is located southwest of O'Fallon on Missouri Route N, just east of I-64. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all land. History Dardenne Prairie was originally a prairie region which began in the area near St. Peters and extended north of Dardenne Creek, almost to Peruque Creek. The area was named after the stream. In early documents the name appeared as Dardonne Creek, Darden Creek, Dardenne River, or Dardonne River. In Houck's history of 1908, Dardene River is also found. O'Fallon, Missouri
O'Fallon ( ) is a city located along Interstates 64 and 70 between Lake St. Louis and St. Peters in St. Charles County, Missouri, United States. It is part of the St. Louis metropolitan statistical area. As of the 2020 census, O'Fallon had a population of 91,316, making it the largest suburb of St. Louis, as well as the largest municipality in St. Charles County and the seventh-largest in Missouri.
