St. Brigid's National School is a primary National School (Ireland), national school for boys and girls. It is located off Beechpark Avenue in Castleknock, Fingal, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It has a Roman Catholic ethos. Achievements St. Brigids' choir has performed at several occasions, including on the radio in Famleigh in Christmas 2008. The choir has also entered various contests around Ireland, including the ESB Feis Ceoil in Dublin in which they placed first. Saint Brigid of Kildare or Brigid of Ireland ( ga, Naomh Bríd; la, Brigida; 525) is the patroness saint (or 'mother saint') of Ireland, and one of its three national saints along with Patrick and Columba. According to medieval Irish hagiographies, she was an abbess who founded several convents of nuns, most notably that of Kildare, which was one of the most important in Ireland. There are few historical facts about her, and early hagiographies are mainly anecdotes and miracle tales, some of which are rooted in pagan folklore.Farmer, David.
