St. Anthony High School (California)
St. Anthony High School is a private, Roman Catholic high school located in Long Beach, California. It is served by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Los Angeles. History St. Anthony High School was founded as a Catholic coeducational high school in 1920 by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart and St. Anthony Parish. In 1940, the Brothers of Holy Cross joined the Sisters on campus and St. Anthony became a boys' school and a girls' school with facilities dedicated to each on the same campus. In 1972 the two schools merged and St. Anthony became coeducational once again. Today, St. Anthony High School is an Archdiocesan high school and remains a co-ed school. Daniel Edward Lungren (born September 22, 1946) is an American politician and lawyer who served as the U.S. representative for from 2005 to 2013. William Levada
William Joseph Levada (June 15, 1936September 26, 2019) was an American cardinal of the Catholic Church. From May 2005 until June 2012, he served as Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith under Pope Benedict XVI; he was the highest ranking American in the Roman Curia. Cormac Joseph Carney (born May 6, 1959) is a United States district judge of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Early life and education Carney was born in Detroit, Michigan to Irish immigrant parents, both of whom were medical doctors. His father was a County Mayo Gaelic football player, Pádraig Carney.
