St. Albert's College
St. Albert's College is an autonomous liberal arts college located at Kochi, India. It has twenty three degree courses, twelve postgraduate courses and seven research centres. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college at the "A" level with an aggregate score of 3.24. St. Albert's College (Autonomous) was ranked as one among the best hundred autonomous colleges in India. History The college was founded by late Dr. Joseph Attippetty, the first Indian Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Verapoly. St. Albert's College has been granted autonomous status in 2016 by the UGC. Archbishop Attippetty started a new college at Ernakulam, then the capital of the former State of Cochin. In 1946 the authorized setting up a second grade college, which began functioning on 16 July 1946, in the old St. Albert's High School building, situated in front of the present college campus. Simon Britto Rodrigues
Simon Britto Rodrigues (27 March 1954 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian politician and writer. He was an Anglo-Indian member in the Kerala Legislative Assembly during the term of Left Democratic Front government from 2006 to 2011. Early life Simon Britto Rodrigues was born to Nichlos Rodrigues and Irin Rodrigues on 27 March 1954, in Pongikkara, Ernakulam District, Kerala. Britto was an active member of Students' Federation of India (SFI), he was a former student of St. Albert's College, Ernakulam, Government Law College, Ernakulam, Government Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala Law Academy Law College, Thiruvananthapuram, Lalit Narayan Mithila University in his college days during 80's. Jude Attipetty is an Indian director of Malayalam cinema and television. He is the head of programs at Mazhavil Manorama and is the director of award-winning tele-series such as ''Sararanthal'' and ''Mikhayelinte Santhathikal''. M.K. Gopinathan Nair, popularly known as Vaisakhan, is an Indian short story writer, playwright, and screenwriter. , he is the President of Kerala Sahitya Akademi.
