Srubabati Goswami
Srubabati Goswami is an Indian scientist specialising in High Energy Physics, Astroparticle Physics, and Neutrino Physics . She is the first Indian woman to earn a Ph.D. in neutrino oscillations from the Science College, University of Calcutta. She did her research in the PRL and Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics and later worked in the Harish Chandra Research Institute. She is a Senior Professor in Theoretical High Energy Physics in the Physical Research Laboratory. Indian Academy Of Sciences
The Indian Academy of Sciences, Bangalore was founded by Indian Physicist and Nobel Laureate C. V. Raman, and was registered as a society on 24 April 1934. Inaugurated on 31 July 1934, it began with 65 founding fellows. The first general meeting of Fellows, held on the same day, elected Raman as president, and adopted the constitution of the Academy. The Indian National Science Academy (INSA) is a national academy in New Delhi for Indian scientists in all branches of science and technology. In August 2019, Dr. Chandrima Shaha was appointed as the president of Indian National Science Academy, becoming the first woman to head the INSA (for 2020–22).
