Srontgorrth
''Srontgorrth: Die Macht erfaßte das meine wie die Angst das Blut der anderen'' (lit. "Power seized mine y bloodlike fear eizedthe blood of the others") is the second studio album by German black metal band Nagelfar, released in 1999. ''Srontgorrth'' is a loose concept album, with the first four tracks focusing on the four seasons. The riff introduced at the beginning of the first piece is reprised at some point in every track on the album. The first three tracks had previously appeared on the band's first two demos and first album, respectively, but were re-recorded for this release. The fourth track is performed featuring no guitars whatsoever. Most likely because more than half of the songs are re-recordings of previously released material, the band themselves do not consider ''Srontgorrth'' as an album, referring instead to their next album, ''Virus West'', as their second album. Alexander von Meilenwald is a German multi-instrumentalist and vocalist known for his former band Nagelfar and his project The Ruins of Beverast. At the age of 15, Meilenwald read an interview with Darkthrone member Nocturno Culto which fascinated him, after he had realised the supposedly extreme band Cannibal Corpse were "just normal metalheads". He then bought Darkthrone's ''A Blaze in the Northern Sky'' and believed "that this must be music made by deranged people". Enslaved (band)
Enslaved is a Norwegian extreme metal band formed by Ivar Bjørnson and Grutle Kjellson in Haugesund in June 1991. They are currently based in Bergen. The band's lineup has changed many times over the years, and Bjørnson and Kjellson have been the sole constant members. The current lineup also includes lead guitarist Arve Isdal, keyboardist/singer Håkon Vinje, and drummer Iver Sandøy. The band's music draws heavily on the Viking cultural and religious heritage of their home country of Norway for inspiration, and most of the band's lyrics relate to Norse mythology. Though they began as a traditional black metal band their sound has undergone significant changes over time resulting in a more progressive sound.
