Srimanthudu (1971 Film)
''Srimanthudu'' () is a 1971 Indian Telugu-language drama film produced by G. Radhakrishna Murthy and A. Ramachandra Rao under the Viswa Bharathi Productions banner and directed by K. Pratyagatma. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Jamuna, with music composed by T. Chalapathi Rao. Kamal Haasan worked under ''Thangappan'' as his dance assistant in this film. Plot The film begins with two good friends Sekharam a wealthy man and Chalapathi an intelligent drunkard who accommodates in Sekharam's outhouse. They also fix up their children Raja and Radha's alliance. Once Chalapathi discovers Mica in a particular area, with Sekharam's help he starts a business when Sekharam invests his entire property and they succeed. Mullapudi Venkata Ramana (28 June 1931 – 24 February 2011) was an Indian writer known for his work in Telugu language, Telugu language. Noted for his humorous and metaphorical style of writing, Mullapudi received Raghupathi Venkaiah Award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1986 for his contributions to Telugu cinema and he also won six Nandi Awards. Mullapudi is noted for his association with Bapu (director), Bapu, who both worked together as Bapu–Ramana. Sakshi Ranga Rao
Sakshi Ranga Rao (born Rangavajhula Ranga Rao; 15 September 1942 – 27 June 2005) was an Indian character actor who worked in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He appeared in about 450 films over a career spanning four decades, majority of which were comedies. Rao made his film debut in 1967 with ''Sakshi'' from which he derived his stage name. Pillavalu Gajapathy Krishnaveni (3 November 1935 – 16 August 2004), more famously known as Jikki, was an Indian playback singer from Andhra Pradesh. She sang around 10,000 songs in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, and Sinhalese languages. Early life Jikki was born in Chennai on 3 November 1935. Her parents Gajapathi Naidu and Rajakanthamma, a Telugu family, had moved from Chandragiri, near Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Chennai for their livelihood. Suryakantham (28 October 1924 – 18 December 1994) was an Indian actress in Tollywood. She was popular for playing the role of a cruel mother-in-law in most of her movies. Early life Suryakantham was born and brought up in a Telugu Brahmin family residing at Venkata Krishnaraya Puram near Kakinada of East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
