Srabon Megher Din
''Srabon Megher Din'' ( bn, শ্রাবণ মেঘের দিন, English: A Day of the Month Srabon) is a Bangladeshi drama film based on the novel of Humayun Ahmed. This movie based on a triangle tragic love story set in a classical village of Bangladesh directed by the writer himself. This film was second film directed by Humayun Ahmed released in 1999 and won National Film Award. British Film Institute enlisted this film in the Top 10 Bangladeshi Film (Critics) as a 2002 cultural project on South Asian cinema in 2002. Plot Moti (Zahid Hasan) is a folk singer in a village and a girl from that village Kusum (Meher Afroz Shaon) fall in love with him, even though she tries to hide it. The story take a turn when Suruj Miah (Mahfuz Ahmed) came in, who is brought by Kusum's father ( Saleh Ahmed) to marry Kusum off with him. But tragedy hits in the end. Humayun Ahmed
Humayun Ahmed (; 13 November 1948 – 19 July 2012) was a Bangladeshi novelist, dramatist, screenwriter, filmmaker, songwriter, scholar, and professor. His breakthrough was his debut novel '' Nondito Noroke'' published in 1972. He wrote over 200 fiction and non-fiction books, many of which were bestsellers in Bangladesh. His books were the top sellers at the Ekushey Book Fair during the 1990s and 2000s. He won the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 1981 and the Ekushey Padak in 1994 for his contribution to Bengali literature. In the early 1990s, Ahmed emerged as a filmmaker. He went on to make a total of eight films - each based on his own novels. He received six Bangladesh National Film Awards in different categories for the films ''Daruchini Dip'', '' Aguner Poroshmoni'' and ''Ghetuputra Komola''. Rawshan Jamil
Rawshan Jamil (8 May 1931 – 14 May 2002) was a Bangladeshi actress and dancer. She was awarded Ekushey Padak in the dance category in 1995 and Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the film '' Noyonmoni'' (1976). Early life and education Jamil was born in Dhaka. Her father was Abdul Karim. After passing the matriculation exam, Jamil got admission at Shilpakala Bhavan in Wari. She later married the dance instructor Ganesh Nath (later Gauhar Jamil) in 1952. Together they set up ''Jago Art Center'' in 1959. Career Starting as an actress in television in 1965, Jamil acted in over 300 television plays, including ''Rakkhushi, Palabodol'' and ''Shokal Shondhya''. She featured in around 200 films. ''Ghetuputra Komola'' ( bn, ঘেটুপুত্র কমলা, ''Gheṭuputro Kômola'', Pleasure Boy Komola) is a 2012 Bangladeshi musical film written and directed by Humayun Ahmed and produced by Impress Telefilm. The film is Humayan Ahmed's last film before his death. Bachsas ( Bangladesh Cholochitra Sangbadik Samity) Awards was introduced in 1972 to encourage the fledgling film industry of the country. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer five times for his performance in the films '' Mahanayak'' (1984), ''Shuvoda'' (1986), ''Srabon Megher Din'' (1999), ''Megher Pore Megh'' (2004) and ''Mohua Sundori'' (2015).
