Squash was contested from September 30 to October 4 at the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea. Competition consists of men's and women's singles competition with all matches to be played at the Yangsan College Gymnasium. Ong Beng Hee of Malaysia won the men's gold medal while Rebecca Chiu from Hong Kong won the women's competition. Shahid Zaman Khan (born August 12, 1982) is a Pakistani professional squash player. He is a nephew of the 1975 World squash champion, Qamar Zaman, the famous master of the drop shots and deception. In 2004, he won his first title at the Pakistan circuit in Event I. In 2005, he won the Virginia Professional Squash championship and went on to win the COAS international 2005 and the Pakistan circuit 2005 - Event II. Sharon Wee Ee Lin (born 5 October 1977 in Melaka) is a former professional squash player who represented Malaysia. Career During 2007 she reached the finals of four events and won her first WISPA title in November in the NSC Tour 10 No. 2 in Kuala Lumpur. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 18 in December 2006. In 2010, she was part of the team that won a third consecutive bronze medal for Malaysia at the 2010 Women's World Team Squash Championships. Personal life Sharon is now doing her part to promote squash. She has set up an academy – Sharon Wee Squash Pro-in Kuala Lumpur to work closely with university students and young players. Datuk Nicol Ann David (born August 26, 1983) is a retired female Malaysian professional squash player. Beginning in August 2006, David was the world number one for a record-breaking 108 consecutive months, finally ceding the ranking in September 2015 to Raneem El Weleily. She has won the World Open title a record 8 times in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014, as well as the British Open title in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012 and 2014. In July 2016, she reached her 151st successive month in the top 10, breaking the record in both men's and women's categories. She surpassed Peter Nicol's previous records of 150 months.
