Spyke
Spyke (Evan Daniels) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, most commonly in association with the X-Men. He was created for the animated series '' X-Men: Evolution'', and was created by writer Robert N. Skir and artist Steven E. Gordon and voiced by Neil Denis. Spyke is a high-school freshman with the mutant ability to project spikes out of his body. The character was originally created as a way to diversify the show's X-Men roster. It was important to the show's creators, the WB network (who ran the show) and Marvel Comics to have an African American in the show. The series '' X-Men: Evolution'' featured a diverse cast of complicated characters. A common staple of the series was whether a particular person had chosen their allegiances correctly, with several instances of a character switching teams. Morlocks (comics)
Morlocks are a group of mutant characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The characters are usually depicted as being associated with the X-Men in the Marvel Universe. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Paul Smith, they were named after the subterranean race of the same name in H. G. Wells' novel ''The Time Machine'', but unlike in the Wells book, they are not a faceless, threatening mass of villains. They first appeared as a group in ''The Uncanny X-Men'' #169 (May 1983). Neil Denis (born July 13, 1985) is a Canadian actor best known for his role as Rya'c, son of Teal'c, a Jaffa in ''Stargate SG-1''. His first appearance was in ''University Hospital'' in 1995 at the age of 8. He also appeared in the Canadian television series ''2030 CE''. In American comic books published by Marvel Comics, a mutant is a human being that possesses a genetic trait called the X-gene. It causes the mutant to develop superhuman powers that manifest at puberty. Human mutants are sometimes referred to as a human subspecies ''Homo sapiens superior,'' or simply ''Homo superior.'' Evolution is change in the heritable characteristics of biological populations over successive generations.
