''Spun'' is a 2002 American black comedy crime drama film directed by Jonas Ã…kerlund from an original screenplay by William De Los Santos and Creighton Vero, based on three days of De Los Santos's life in the Eugene, Oregon, drug subculture. The film stars Jason Schwartzman, John Leguizamo, Mena Suvari, Patrick Fugit, Peter Stormare, Alexis Arquette, Deborah Harry, Rob Halford, Eric Roberts, Chloe Hunter, Nicholas Gonzalez, Brittany Murphy and Mickey Rourke. Ã…kerlund made his debut as a feature film director with ''Spun'', having already become known for his work in music videos. The film was shot in 22 days, and centers on various people involved in a methamphetamine drug ring. The film blends elements of dark comedy and drama in its storytelling. Its title is a reference to the slang term for the way users feel after going multiple days without sleep while on a methamphetamine binge. It was released in June 1998 and was the band's first and only recording with the large independent label, TVT Records. Background After releasing a number of well-received recordings on the smaller psychedelia-focused Bomp! Records label, The Brian Jonestown Massacre were signed to a multi-record deal with TVT. Recording and content Matt Hollywood contributed more to this record due to Anton Newcombe being incapable of writing as many songs as he was addicted to heroin at the time. ''Methods of Mayhem'' is the 1999 debut album by American rock band Methods of Mayhem. It was Tommy Lee's first album since leaving Mötley Crüe earlier that year. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA and received generally positive reviews from critics. Background Former Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee's new musical venture, Methods of Mayhem, arose from his collaboration with rapper TiLo. Angelina Dehn (born 22 March 1995), better known by her stage name Ängie, is a Swedish pop and trap-hop artist. Early life and career Dehn was born in Stockholm and grew up in the town of Nynäshamn. She felt rejected by her friends after they learned of her first girlfriend. Dehn struggled with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and mental health disorders in her adolescence and even contemplated suicide.
