Indie Rock
Indie rock is a Music subgenre, subgenre of rock music that originated in the United States, United Kingdom and New Zealand from the 1970s to the 1980s. Originally used to describe independent record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock or "Pop rock, guitar pop rock". One of the primary scenes of the movement was Dunedin, where Dunedin sound, a cultural scene based around a convergence of noise pop and jangle became popular among the city's University of Otago, large student population. Independent labels such as Flying Nun Records, Flying Nun began to promote the scene across New Zealand, inspiring key college rock bands in the United States such as Pavement (band), Pavement, Pixies (band), Pixies and R.E.M. Revelation Records is an independent record label focusing originally and primarily on hardcore punk. The label is known for releases by bands such as Youth of Today, Warzone, Sick of It All, Quicksand, Side By Side, Chain of Strength, Shelter, Judge, No for an Answer, Gorilla Biscuits, and End of a Year. Revelation, along with the bands it put out in the late 1980s, is usually credited with creating and cementing the "youth crew" sound as well as New York hardcore, which bridged the gap from the earlier bands of almost a decade before and helped carry the music through the early 1990s. ''Floral Green'' is the second studio album by American Rock music, rock band Title Fight. Production and composition It was recorded with producer Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The album's sound has been described as melodic hardcore, post-hardcore, emo, art rock, and shoegazing. Release On July 8, 2012, posted a picture with the caption "September 2012". The following day, the group's label SideOneDummy Records posted album artwork for ''Floral Green''. On July 24, "Head in the Ceiling Fan" was made available for streaming and as a free download via the group's website. A music video was released for "Head in the Ceiling Fan", directed by Grey Zine guitarist Evan Evans. In August, the band performed at This Is Hardcore festival. Hyperview (album)
''Hyperview'' is the third and most recent studio album by American rock band Title Fight. The album was released on February 3, 2015 through ANTI- Records and was produced by Will Yip at Studio 4 Recording. This marks the third time Title Fight has worked with Yip, following ''Floral Green'' (2012) and '' Spring Songs EP'' (2013). It was mastered by Emily Lazar and Richard Morales at The Lodge, in New York. ''Hyperview'' produced the singles "Chlorine", "Rose of Sharon", and "Your Pain Is Mine Now". The album marked a change in the band's style from the energetic hardcore punk of previous records to a fuzzier and more textured sound rooted in shoegaze and indie rock. It would also be the last recording released by Title Fight before they would go on hiatus in mid 2018. It would go on to receive positive reviews from critics who praised their growth and stylistic shift.
