Spotswood College
Spotswood College is a co-educational state secondary school in Spotswood, New Plymouth, New Zealand. It was founded in 1960 and celebrated its 50th Jubilee in 2010. It was formerly New Zealand's largest school. It is New Plymouth's only co-educational secondary school, with a current roll of students. The college has a diverse multi-cultural student body and modern facilities for staff and students. Some of the less common features of Spotswood College include its beach volleyball arena, horticultural facilities, music department complete with recording facilities, and highly rated special education and international departments. A new gymnasium is currently under construction, and two classroom blocks are planned to be demolished to make way for new learning areas to be constructed. Harry Duynhoven
Harry James Duynhoven (born 1955) is a New Zealand politician and member of the New Zealand Labour Party. He was the mayor of the city of New Plymouth and surrounding districts from 2010–2013. He was a Member of Parliament for the New Plymouth electorate from 1987–1990, from 1993–2003, and again from 2003–2008. Duynhoven was elected as Mayor of New Plymouth in October 2010 but was defeated after serving a single term. He was elected as a councillor for the city ward of the New Plymouth District Council in a by-election, and was re-elected to that role and elected as a board member on Taranaki's district health board in 2016 and 2019. Sunday (New Zealand TV Programme)
''Sunday'' is a current affairs programme broadcast on TVNZ 1 in New Zealand on Sunday nights at . Presented by Miriama Kamo with a team of New Zealand reporters, the programme began when TV ONE did not renew its rights to '' 60 Minutes'' which had aired previously in this time slot. The hour-long show usually features two reports from the local reporters and one report from an overseas current affairs programme. The programme's tagline is "Where there's a story we'll find it". In 2012, the show was reduced to half an hour and moved to a new time slot of 7.00pm due to the New Zealand's Got Talent series. TVNZ also reviewed the future of the show. Elizabeth Dorothy Craig (born 1967) is a New Zealand politician and Member of Parliament in the House of Representatives for the Labour Party. As a public health physician, she has become known for her research work on child poverty. Peter Jefferies is a musician from New Zealand. He is known for his involvement with Nocturnal Projections and This Kind of Punishment as well as his extensive solo and collaborative work. History In 1981 Peter and his brother Graeme Jefferies formed the post-punk band Nocturnal Projections. The band released a few records, and performed around their hometown of New Plymouth, as well as Auckland. After Nocturnal Projections disbanded in 1983, the brothers formed This Kind of Punishment, and released three full-length albums and an EP. In 1985 Jefferies released the ''Randolph's Going Home'' 7" and the "fish out of water" 12" with Shayne Carter. This was followed in 1986 with the '' At Swim 2 Birds'' LP, recorded with Jono Lonie, on the Flying Nun label. This was reissued on Xpressway and later on Drunken Fish. Lincoln "Link" Abrams (born 11 July 1973) is an American-New Zealand former basketball player. He played college basketball in the United States for New Mexico Military Institute and Centenary College. He debuted in the New Zealand National Basketball League (NBL) in 2003 and played his final NBL season in 2013, playing his entire career with the Taranaki Mountainairs.
