Sportsound
''Sportsound'' is BBC Radio Scotland's main radio sports show. It provides coverage to listeners on medium wave, FM, DAB Digital Radio and via the internet. It is best known for its exclusive live commentary of Scottish Premiership football games. It is broadcast seven days a week, and on on-match days has an 1810–2200 slot on 810 MW. On Saturdays, at least two matches are broadcast by MW, and the main FM frequency with the ''Open All Mics'' feature broadcast on the BBC Radio nan Gàidheal frequency and the remaining matches online where the other matches are simulcast. Richard Gordon (broadcaster)
Richard Gordon (born 1960) is a Scottish radio and television presenter. Gordon was born in Aberdeen and educated at Skene Square Primary, Aberdeen Grammar School and Aberdeen College of Commerce. He originally worked as a banker before beginning his first job in radio at Northsound Radio in 1987. He was the host of BBC Radio Scotland's football programme ''Sportsound'' from 1992 until 2022, and hosted the Scottish Premier League highlights on '' Sportscene'' from 2008 to 2010. Gordon also occasionally presented '' MacAulay and Co'' on Radio Scotland when usual presenter Fred MacAulay was unavailable. Chick Young
Charles "Chick" Young (born 4 May 1951) is a professional association football pundit who regularly appears for BBC Scotland on ''Sportscene'' and ''Sportsound''. He is known for his trademark laugh and speech patterns, which have made him a popular target for lampooning on the BBC Scotland sports comedy ''Only an Excuse?'' Scott Davie is a British football commentator for BBC Scotland and can frequently be heard on ''Sportsound'', providing live radio commentary of Scottish Premier League football matches. Paul Mitchell (broadcaster)
Paul Mitchell (born 18 December 1968 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish football commentator for BBC Scotland and was their main commentator for a six-year period from 2004 to 2010. His past co-commentators include Pat Nevin and Ian McCall – Mitchell is currently joined by either Craig Paterson or Billy Dodds when commentating on live matches for BBC Scotland's Sportscene programme. Allan Preston
Allan Preston (born 16 August 1969) is a retired Scottish professional footballer and manager. He is currently a radio sports pundit for BBC Scotland. Playing career Preston, who predominantly played at left-back, began his career as a 15-year-old with Dundee United in 1985. He made his league debut in the 1987/88 season. John Robertson (footballer Born 1964)
John Grant Robertson (born 2 October 1964) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player, who is currently the sporting director of Inverness Caledonian Thistle. His playing career included spells at Newcastle United, Dundee and Livingston, but he is best known for his two spells at Heart of Midlothian totalling about 18 years, where he is the club's all-time leading goalscorer. He has since managed Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Heart of Midlothian, Ross County, Livingston, Derry City and East Fife. James McFadden
James Henry McFadden (born 14 April 1983) is a Scottish football coach and former professional player who played as a forward. McFadden started his playing career with Motherwell, where he came to prominence in the 2002–03 season by scoring 19 goals and winning the Scottish PFA Young Player of the Year award. Kenny Miller
Kenneth Miller (born 23 December 1979) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player. Miller, who played as a striker, is one of only five post-war players to have played for both Rangers and Celtic. Miller began his career at Hibernian before moving on to Rangers then to the English side Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he won his first career honour, the 2003 First Division play-off final.
