Sportivo Ameliano
Club Sportivo Ameliano, also simply known as Ameliano, is a Paraguayan football club based in Virgen del Huerto neighborhood in the city of Asunción. The club competes in the Paraguayan Primera División for the 2022 season after their promotion at the end of the 2021 Paraguayan División Intermedia. The club was home to Alfredo Mazacotte who began his career in the youth teams of the club, and is actually the home of historic striker Marcos Caballero who serves at the club since 2003, the player was the leading goal scorer of the Primera División C of 2008 with 11 annotations along with Alberto Cristaldo of Deportivo Recoleta. The ex-footballer and Argentine coach Oscar Paulin was credited for taking the club to the zone of promotion in 2015 and 2016. The Primera División B (''First Division B'': in English), also known as Primera División B Metropolitana or simply Primera B Metropolitana in order to distinguish it from the Primera División B Nacional, is the metropolitan tournament of the Paraguayan Tercera División. The Supercopa Paraguay (''Paraguay Supercup'') is an annual one-match football official competition in Paraguay organised by the Paraguayan Football Association (APF) which is played by the Primera División champions with the best record in the season's aggregate table and the Copa Paraguay champions, starting from 2021. The Copa Paraguay is a knockout football competition in men's domestic Paraguayan football, starting in 2018 and succeeding the defunct Torneo República. The project for its creation was officially presented in December 2017 and approved by the Paraguayan Football Association's Executive Committee on 20 February 2018. The competition starts in April and ends in November, with the winner of the cup qualifying for the following year's Copa Libertadores (Copa Sudamericana until the 2022 edition). The 2022 Supercopa Paraguay was the second edition of the Supercopa Paraguay, Paraguay's football super cup. The 2023 Copa CONMEBOL Sudamericana will be the 22nd edition of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana (also referred to as the ''Copa Sudamericana''), South America's secondary club football tournament organized by CONMEBOL.
