Sport Club Genus de Porto Velho, commonly referred to as Genus (), is a Brazilian football club based in Porto Velho, Rondônia. The club competes in the Campeonato Rondoniense Série A, the top division in the Rondônia state football league system. Currently, Genus is the sixth-best ranked team from Rondônia in CBF's national club ranking, being placed 228th overall. History Sport Club Genus de Porto Velho were founded on November 15, 1981 as Sport Club Genus Rondoniense. Genus competed in the Série C in 2001, and in the Série D in 2009, when they were eliminated in the second stage by São Raimundo. The club were renamed to Sport Club Genus de Porto Velho in 2006. Stadium Genus play their home games at Aluízio Ferreira. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 7,000 people. São Raimundo Esporte Clube, or São Raimundo, as they are usually called, is a Brazilian football team from Santarém in Pará, founded on 9 January 1944. São Raimundo is currently ranked fourth among Pará teams in CBF's national club ranking, at 120th place overall. History On January 3, 1944, a committee formed by David Nathanael Valdomiro Pinto and Gerson Marino went to the house of Odorico Reis de Almeida and invited him to assume the presidency of the club, for which he already showed their sympathy publicly. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs. Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série C is the third tier of the Brazilian football league system. Unlike the first and second divisions, the Série C is not played in a double round robin system, arguably because many participating teams lack the financial conditions to travel long distances. Thus, the tournament is organized in regional groups and the table prevents teams from distant states from playing each other in the initial rounds. Until 2008, any professional team could apply, but only 64 teams would take part in the tournament. The teams that had been relegated from the Série B in the previous year were joined by teams qualified for each federation state. Qualification rules varied, some federations used the state tournaments as qualification tournaments, others organized exclusive qualification tournaments to the Série C. Estádio Aluízio Ferreira, usually known as Estádio Aluízio Ferreira and nicknamed Aluizão, is a football stadium located in Porto Velho, Rondônia state, Brazil. The stadium is owned by the Governo de Rondônia and it was built in 1957. Its formal name honors Aluízio Ferreira, who was the first governor of the former Território Federal do Guaporé (nowadays Rondônia) from 1942 to 1957.
