Spokane Shock Seasons
This is a list of seasons completed by the Spokane Shock and Spokane Empire. The Shock are a professional Indoor American football franchise based in Spokane, Washington, playing home games at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The team was established in 2006 as a member of arenafootball2 (AF2). In the franchise's first season, the Shock won the ArenaCup, the AF2's championship game. The Shock were champions again in 2009, the AF2's final season before the league effectively dissolved. On September 28, 2009, the Shock, along with most AF2 teams, announced they would join the new Arena Football One, which after a December 2009 auction of the former Arena Football League's assets, became the new Arena Football League (AFL). In 2010, the Shock were crowned champions of the AFL by winning ArenaBowl XXIII. Spokane Shock
The Spokane Shock were a professional indoor American football team based in Spokane, Washington, that played their home games at the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena. The team was initially a member of arenafootball2 (af2), the Shock won division titles in all four seasons and ArenaCups in 2006 and 2009 before they joined the Arena Football League (AFL) in its 2010 relaunch. The team advanced to the playoffs three times after joining the AFL, winning ArenaBowl XXIII in their first season, making them the only arena football franchise to win both the ArenaCup and the ArenaBowl. The 2006 AF2 season was the seventh season of the AF2, the Arena Football League's minor league. It was preceded by 2005 and succeeded by 2007. The 2009 AF2 season was the AF2's 10th and final season. It was preceded by 2008. The regular season began on Friday, March 20 and finished on Saturday, July 25. The Boise Burn was an arena football team based in Boise, Idaho. The Burn began play in the af2 league in March 2007. Burn home games were played at the Qwest Arena in downtown Boise. The Stockton Lightning were a professional arena football team based in Stockton, California. They were members of the Western Division of the National Conference of the arenafootball2 (af2). Amarillo Dusters
The Amarillo Venom were a professional indoor football team based in Amarillo, Texas. They played their home games at the Amarillo Civic Center. The Venom began play in 2004 as the Amarillo Dusters, a charter member of the Intense Football League, a small indoor football league based in Texas. They won the championship in their first and only season with the Intense Football League. In 2005, the Dusters became the first team to leave the Intense Football League and join the AF2, the minor league of the Arena Football League, where they played for four seasons until the AF2's folding in 2009. Central Valley Coyotes
The Central Valley Coyotes were a professional arena football team and were a charter member of the AF2. As the newly forming AF2 set aside its plans for a two tier league and began focusing only on bigger markets, Central Valley stepped down and tried to play in a league which was more friendly to smaller markets; such as the Indoor Football League or the American Indoor Football Association. The team began as a 2002 expansion member of the af2, known as the original Bakersfield Blitz until 2004. They played their home games at Selland Arena in Fresno, California (With the exception of two home games during the 2008 season which were played at the Save Mart Center due to construction). The Central Valley Coyotes were in discussions with Indoor Football League Commissioner Tommy Benezio about possibly joining the Indoor Football League in 2011. Austin Wranglers
The Austin Wranglers were an arena football team based in Austin, Texas. They played four seasons in the Arena Football League from 2004 to 2007 and spent one season in af2, the AFL's developmental league, in 2008.
