Spirit And The Bride
Spirit and the Bride is a Christian hardcore and metalcore band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The band formed in 2010. History Spirit and the Bride formed in 2010, with the lineup of vocalist Josh Simmons, drummer Adam Simmons, and guitarist Josh Summerville. The band performed their first show as a trio, before adding Devin Scarth to the lineup in 2011. Scarth departed from the band, being replaced Preston Tucker. In 2013, Tucker left the band, his position was filled by Jeremiah Medley. In 2014, the band released ''With Eyes and Ears to See and Hear'' independently. In 2015, the band signed with OnTheAttack Records, a Christian hardcore label from San Francisco, California. OnTheAttack would re-release the album through the label. The band would perform shows all throughout 2016, until they announced the release of ''Dry Bones''. ''Dry Bones'' was released on May 30, 2017, marking the band's debut on the label. The Chariot (band)
The Chariot was an American hardcore punk band from Douglasville, Georgia, that existed from 2003 to 2013. The last lineup consisted of drummer David Kennedy, vocalist and bandleader Josh Scogin, and guitarists Brandon Henderson and Stephen Harrison. The band experienced frequent lineup changes since its inception, with Scogin being the only original member. The band played an abrasive style of metalcore that did not adhere to typical stylings popular among their contemporaries such as melodic/abrasive dynamics and harmonic vocals. They built a reputation around their powerful live performances, with Scogin's lyrics covering topics like materialism, personal struggle, current events, politics, and Christian themes. Brother's Keeper (band)
Brother's Keeper was an American metalcore band from Erie, Pennsylvania. History Formed in 1994 by members of a number of other local bands, Brother's Keeper became the backbone of the Erie hardcore punk and metalcore scene. Alongside bands like xDISCIPLEx A.D., Digression and Neverfall, they created a local community of youth bonded by a common musical interest. Shai Hulud is an American metalcore band formed in Pompano Beach, Florida, in 1995, and later based in Poughkeepsie, New York. The band is named after the giant sandworms in Frank Herbert's novel ''Dune''. The two mainstay members of Shai Hulud are considered to be Matt Fox (guitar), who writes most of the band's musical and lyrical output, and Matt Fletcher (originally guitar, now bass), who assists in writing. Strongarm was a five-piece Christian and straight edge hardcore band, formed in Pompano Beach, Florida. They were one of the first "Spirit-Filled" hardcore bands, along with Unashamed, Overcome, Focused and Zao. Biography Between 1990 and 1991, Ikthus, a local punk band consisting of vocalist Dave Bean, guitarist Jason Berggren, drummer Chris Carbonell and bassist Matt Fletcher, was formed. Flecher quit early on and was replaced by Chad Neptune, a friend of the band. Ikthus went on to disband later in 1993. However, Carbonell, Neptune, and Berggren sought to form a new band following this. Carbonell, Neptune, and Berggren eventually united with their friend Josh Colbert, who previously had performed in another Christian hardcore band called Endure. Zao () is an American metalcore band founded in Parkersburg, West Virginia and later relocated to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Founded in March 1993, Zao has hosted several musicians and endured numerous roster changes to the point where no original members remain.
