Spice Channel
The Spice Networks are a group of television channels operated on a pay-per-view basis that broadcast adult and pornographic content. The channels are owned by MindGeek, but they were originally launched by Playboy Enterprises in March 1994. They are available via cable, IPTV, and satellite in over 72 countries including the United States and formerly New Zealand. History The channels first launched in November 1994. By 2005, there were seven channels in the family: Spice, Spice 2, The Hot Network, The Hot Zone, Spice Hot, Spice Live, and Spice Platinum. Spice TV (officially named Spice Fashion Television Channel) is Africa's first dedicated English-language specialty channel for fashion, owned by Consolidated Media Associates. The channel broadcasts both local and international programming related to fashion, modeling, photography, beauty, luxury goods, luxury, and lifestyle on DStv channel 190. Before launch as a 24-hours television channel on Multichoice multi-channel digital satellite TV service, it was syndicated on free-to-air TV channel OnTV Nigeria and still runs select programming blocks every day on OnTV Nigeria and ONMAX. Playboy One
Playboy One was a free-to-air satellite television channel in the United Kingdom, and was the only permanently free-to-air television station operated by Playboy Enterprises. The channel launched in November 2005, and was described as a general male entertainment channel with a lower LCN, placing it in the Entertainment section of the Sky EPG, as opposed to Specialist where its sister channel lies. However, after the 9 PM watershed the channel would show some erotic programming, including ''Playboy's Babes'', ''Sexcetera'' and ''Red Shoe Diaries''. By 2006, a newly-added "Adult" category was added to the EPG, and so the channel moved there. The channel aimed to attract men to the pay-per-view Playboy TV, operating on the same satellite service. The network originally launched as Paul Raymond TV in October 2008, and has gone through various names since.
