Speranza Park
Speranza Park is a former baseball ground located in Toledo, Ohio, United States. The park was reportedly named for the club owner's yacht. The team's first home game was played on May 1, 1890. The team finished a few games above .500, and 20 games back of first place, ending whatever major league hopes the club aspired to. The final home game was held on October 2, 1890. Toledo Maumees
The Toledo Maumees were a baseball team originally formed in 1888. The team was based in Toledo, Ohio, and formed part of the Tri-State League for one season. Their home games were played at Speranza Park in Toledo. In 1889, the Maumees moved to the International Association (baseball), International Association, where they were also known as the ''Toledo Black Pirates''. Managed by former player Charlie Morton (baseball, born 1854), Charlie Morton, the team finished in fourth place with a 54–51 record.
