Spencer Moody
Spencer Moody is the American vocalist for Seattle-based noise rock group Triumph of Lethargy Skinned Alive to Death. He was the lead vocalist for the Murder City Devils until their breakup in 2001, and returned to the band when they reformed in 2006. In addition to his musical endeavors, Moody also owned and operated a self-proclaimed "junk shop" called The Anne Bonny in Seattle, which closed in 2010. The shop took its name from one of the few well-documented female pirates. Anne Bonny
Anne Bonny (8 March 1697 – disappeared April 1721), sometimes Anne Bonney, was an Irish pirate operating in the Caribbean, and one of the few female pirates in recorded history. What little that is known of her life comes largely from Captain Charles Johnson's 1724 book ''A General History of the Pyrates''. Bonny was born in Ireland around 1700 and moved to London and then to the Province of Carolina when she was about 10 years old. Around 1718 she married sailor James Bonny, assumed his last name, and moved with him to Nassau in the Bahamas, a sanctuary for pirates. It was there that she met Calico Jack Rackham and became his pirate partner and lover. She was captured alongside Rackham and Mary Read in October 1720. All three were sentenced to death, but Bonny and Read had their executions stayed because both of them were pregnant. Riot House Records is an independent record label specializing in rock, indie, and punk bands. History Riot House Records was founded in 2010 by Brian Jenkins with the purpose of releasing "rock and roll records with grit and soul." The label is part of the Independent Label Distribution group, along with Sympathy for the Record Industry, Frontier Records, and Tank Crimes. In January 2013 it was announced that Interpol's drummer Sam Fogarino had formed a new band, EmptyMansions, who signed to the label. Modest Mouse
Modest Mouse is an American rock band formed in 1992 in Issaquah, Washington, and currently based in Portland, Oregon. The founding members are lead singer/guitarist Isaac Brock, drummer Jeremiah Green, and bassist Eric Judy. Strongly influenced by Pavement, Pixies, XTC, and Talking Heads, they rehearsed, rearranged, and recorded demos for almost two years before finally signing with small-town indie label K Records and releasing numerous singles. Since their 1996 debut album, ''This Is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About'', the band's lineup has mostly centered on Brock and Green, undergoing multiple changes. The Hookers
The Hookers are an American hardcore punk band based in Louisville, Kentucky. Originally formed in Lexington in 1994 as the Fayette County Hookers, the name was shortened before their first independent release ''Kiss My Fuckin Ass'' 7-inch EP in 1996. Their first full length album, ''Satan's Highway'', was released on Scooch Pooch records in 1998 and followed closely by the ''Listen Up, Baby!'' split LP with Electric Frankenstein in the same year. On various independent labels, The Hookers released two more full length albums: ''Black Visions of Crimson Wisdom'' in 1999 and ''Equinox Beyond Tomorrow Volume 1'' in 2001.
