David Speers
David Gordon Speers (born 9 September 1974 in Inverell, Australia) is an Australian journalist and host of '' Insiders'' on ABC TV. Previously he was political editor at Sky News Australia, as well as host of ''PM Agenda'', '' The Last Word'' and '' Speers Tonight''. Career Speers began his career in Geelong, Victoria in the newsroom of radio station K-Rock. Speers then worked at 2GB, 2UE and 3AW. He has been a member of the National Press Club board since 2005 and is currently a director. Sky News In 2000, Speers joined Sky News as a political editor. During his time with Sky News, Speers hosted the channel's flagship ''PM Agenda'' program Monday to Thursday afternoons. Speers ( 2021 population: ) is a village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within the Rural Municipality of Douglas No. 436 and Census Division No. 16. The village is located approximately 50 minutes southeast of the City of North Battleford on Highway 40. The community is named for Charles Wesley Speers, the colonization agent for Western Canada, who came from Eastern Canada to settle at Griswold, Manitoba, in 1884. Speers Point, New South Wales
Speers Point is a suburb of Greater Newcastle, and the location of the council seat of the City of Lake Macquarie local government area in New South Wales, Australia. It is west-southwest of the city of Newcastle on the northern shore of Lake Macquarie, in Cockle and Warners Bays, between the suburbs of Cardiff and Warners Bay. Speers Point was settled in 1828 and local commerce began through a colliery in 1843. By 2006, the suburb had a population of 3,230. There has been a proposal to rename part of the suburb to 'Lake Macquarie', to reflect the name of the city. Speer Family
The Speer Family was a Southern gospel family musical group. It was founded in 1921 by George Thomas ("Dad") Speer (1891–1966), his wife, Lena Darling ("Mom") Speer (née Brock; 1899–1967), and his sister and brother-in-law, Pearl Claborn (1902–1979) and Logan Claborn (William Logan Claborn; 1896–1981).
